This past Thursday, Resolution Games launched the long anticipated second title from the “Demeo Action Role Playing System”, Demeo Battles. Straying from its predecessor’s focus on co-op gameplay, this latest title brings a faster, more competitive twist to the franchise, perfect for fans seeking a potent mix of strategy and quick-play dynamics.
Demeo Battles, while not a sequel, is the latest addition to the expanding Demeo universe. This game pivots from the lengthy dungeon crawls of its predecessor, offering 20-30 minute matches that feature the same strategic depth without the extended time commitment. Available on Steam for flatscreen PC or VR and on Meta Quest, it’s perfect for both long-time enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
In a game of Battles, players will strategically assemble a duo of heroes, along with a selection of action cards and minions, to conquer the arena. The game introduces The Burn, a Fortnite-like encroaching lava hazard, adding an extra layer of strategic depth. Players can engage in both solo (1v1) and cooperative (2v2) play, leveraging each hero’s abilities for tactical advantage.
Demeo Battles features:
- 10 distinct arenas for balanced competitive play.
- 7 unique champions, including hunters, sorcerers, and barbarians.
- Over 35 minions and 85+ action cards for tactical diversity.
- 40 single-player challenges for skill honing.
- Multiplayer modes (1v1, 2v2) with cross-platform play.
- Mixed Reality mode, enhancing the experience on Meta Quest 3.
Following the game’s release, Resolution Games plans to focus on game balancing, with additional content such as a ranked mode and more single-player challenges in the pipeline. Demeo Battles is available now on Steam and Meta Quest for $19.99. It will soon launch on Pico and is scheduled for release on PS VR2 in 2024. For more details, visit demeobattles.com.
